2014 REUNION USMC HAWK ASSOCIATION

We got to tour MCAS Cherry Point and had the pleasure of an up close and personal inspection of PEDRO, one of the air stations Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopters. While we were busy with PEDRO a AV-8B Harrier jet rolled past us, after landing.
We got a nice display and briefing from the 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Bn. I'm sure it helped we had a general officer and a couple full colonels in the group.
We had a nice buffet lunch at the Hancock Lodge. We were supposed to have it at Millers Landing but there was a booking screwup, when we got there (which is always a problem dealing with the military and planning events)
